Another demonstration of the Quicktime (MOV) original soundtrack distortion problem. Showing splitting off the audio track. I submitted the issue to Corel customer support on Feb 23, 2010 Reference # 100223-000043. They claim 24-48 response time. Corel tech contacted me, sent me a new codec, than blamed my camera...even though my videos work just fine here on You Tube and run fine in Quicktime. That's their customer service. Just as I figured, they'd blame something other than their product.

  • The software is trash for .MOV...you wasted your hard earned cash on that trashware. Corel does not support .MOV even though they say they do. They will blame your camera, or blame the type of .MOV your better off uploading to You Tube & edit on their server

  • I don't get far enough to test audio...my .mov files crash my vid studio version 11. I thought pro x3 might be updated enough to fix the issue, so I downloaded the demo and it still crashes. Well...hold on, I just installed the demo and as I was writing this I got an automatic update from Corel...my .mov files now works!!! It's a little choppy, but it is a 3.5GB file, so that may be why...so I am going to suggest that you see if you can check for the update to x3.

  • @dvnobles Thanks for the tip, I did download the patch but the patch wasn't for the MOV issues just other shit that don't work. I'm glad I posted this video complaint...maybe save others from buying that piece of crap software.

  • I had simmilar problems with HDV in X2 version and stopped using the software all together. I thenk found out it was plugin problems and with the new software and a clean install of the software I have eliminated this problem in X3. I would think Corel if you chat withe them on the website using live chat under support might be able to assist you. I have had good support on that site.

  • Tim the live chat is just a pretty picture now, there is no support any longer. I learned a lesson today. Don't believe anything you read or see on YouTube. YouTube is just another marketing tool

  • CAN ANYONE HELP ME? I CAN'T EDIT MY .MOV VIDEOS ON COREL PROX4 :(

  • Hey. I had .mov file issues. I had to buy Quicktime Pro and convert the .mov files to .M4V and then re-import to Corel VideoStudio X3 for the crap problems to go away.

  • @dvnobles I just start triming a clip and the program crashes... doesnt even be chopy ect just crashes and I haven't been able to even edit a movie yey most worthless program I have ever bought..

  • farking hell this is killing me man!

trying to import MP4 files, crashes the software!

at least I could edit something, it works better than Power Directors!

PD series are SHIT, they use up so much memory and crash all the time

  • get quicktime 7.6 not 7.6.6 and it works!

  • funny this I cannot use .mov files either the damn x2 pro crashes really quickly. After struggling with it i realise that the corel stuff is really naff. Whay can't they address this issue?...

  • I can make videos with .mov files, but X3 crashes every 15 minutes. And now I can't render my 12 minute vlog, cuz it always crashes at 50%. :(
