News of funding for stem cell research is a ray of hope for one North Texas man. He is one of only three Texans living with a debilitating bone disease known as 'Stone Man's Disease.' FOX 4's Melissa Cutler reports how he hopes stem cell science will save his life.
My sister has FOP and she's 12. And tier is no cure for it. So how is operation gonna help? It may either kill them or make matters worse.

You can't expand the rib cage with FOP sufferers. All of their soft tissue is literally fused together into bone, and any attempt at correcting the condition by removing the excess bone results in the growth of more bone matter. It's an awful disease.

hey ya know what? if your rib cage is hard to expand you can wear bi pap at night, or anytime you need to actually. it helps to expand everything. i had to wear it for a long time after i had a bunch of back surgeries. it toally helps
