There are a lot of rules in the Bible that don't translate into the constitution, thank goodness. Also, everyone is right, if you want to discuss this further, please PM me as it is indeed off topic.

Okay let's, for argument's sake, take your teacher's explanation. A watch? What is a watch made up of? Gold, Aluminum, Iron? What are organisms made up of? Carbon? If you look at the chemical reactions molecules of these two different types of atoms can take you can see how unrelated a watch is to a biological carbon based system.

It is amazing but why is it that complexity is always tied with a creator, building it as it stands today? We can see how natural selection works on a microscopic level where mistakes in self replication occur and some rare cases cause an advantageous trait to be expressed and it in turn is transferred to the next generation which becomes more successful because of this trait. This trait out competes the primitive one and it is seen instead of its predecessors. Gradual change over time.

No,he actually does have a point if you consider how every religion had some deity fashioned to their culture, their egocentric world, and their personal needs.

Fact is all holy claims revolve around those it came from but don't appear to have much relevance to other people or the rest of the universe. All bible stories were directed to social needs that struggled for scarce resources in the middle east. Other faiths focused on natural disasters, cyclic seasons for crops, or population control.

Every religion is tailored to fit the region and era it hailed from. People will always have problems and wish there was a parental figure to help them. Early cave dwelling humans drew animals on walls to increase their chances of hunting. Japanese deities controlled the stormy seas because they encountered tsunamis. The Roman Empire wanted to appeal to everyone in the nation and gathered scholars from all over to write a New Testament for everyone to agree with and to be controlled by.
