The mystery of the Kensington Runestone, unearthed in a farmer's field in the late 1800's, just got a bit cloudier. A renowned geologist has examined the stone and his findings have placed him at odds with prominent skeptics. The stone is housed in the Runerstone Museum in Alexandria Minnesota where you can see and judge it for yourself. Geologist Scott Wolter and anthropologist Michael Michlovich debate.

About the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund
In 2008, Minnesota voters passed a landmark piece of legislation — the Minnesota Clean Water, Land, and Legacy Amendment — which provided funding to public television stations serving audiences in Minnesota. Its mission is to help preserve and document the treasures of culture, history, and heritage that make Minnesota special, and to increase access to the natural and cultural resources we all share.

  • I was in Alexandria last month, but couldn't fing the dam place.

  • Mike Michlovich has never done research on the KRS. I asked him that in a forum at Fort Snelling 5 years ago. He talks about what other people have told him. I can't believe that people actually interview him as an someone who knows anything about the KRS. I suggested that he should look at the stone and do some research before he comments on the KRS. Is he going for the class idiot award? He is looking like a runner up to Prof Joseph Holvik from 1949. Darwin Ohman, grandson of Olof Ohman.

  • i totally agree with everything Wolter says.. When i hear people say its fake, it makes me so angry. Why dont they see the clear evidence it is real. The people who say it is fake have a very small amount of evidence compared to Wolter's "real" evidence. I would definitely recommend watching "Holy Grail in America" by the history channel. Unbelievable and just fascinating.
