I didn't use lithium batteries simply because they're expensive. My goal was to develop a new regerative braking scheme. I just needed a platform to work from so I wanted to keep costs down. Li batteries would greatly increase the range but that was not the goal.
I used the motor and controller from the 'great white' electric scooter. I was given the sproket so don't know much aside from the pitch. The drive sprocket had 11 teeth and the hub had 88 teeth. Both were 25 pitch.
Hello,
First of all, nice graduate prodject !
I already had this subject in thought for my last year at Automotive Technology in Belgium.
But why didn't you installed some LiPo batteries ?
Problems with funding or does it have any complications when installing this feature ?
Please contact me, I really want to read your report.
