  • @lj4u Really? They have a horrific screech. They come here from PNG, kick the eggs out of other bird's nests, or the hatched Channel-bill chick kills the other chicks. The chick screeches 24/7 while host parents nearly die from exhaustion trying to feed this thing which grows to triple their size. As you can see above they often are maimed in the feeding process losing an eye etc, when the chick is old enough it turns on them, attacks them, then flies back to PNG. Research helps - do some.

  • amazing creature, it looks more like a hornbill than a cuckoo. somehow, it does rely on other birds to hatch/feed their chicks.

  • Channel Billed Cuckoos are hideous birds in every respect...just vile.
