TBX box VS Chinese box both with UK Celestion blue

This is a comparison between UK TBX cab and a new Chinese cab and both fitted with UK Celestion blue
The amp is a AC30TBX. First half is over the TBX box fittted with 1997 UK blue Celestion. The second half is the Chinese AC30BM box fitted with 2002 UK Celestion Blue. They used to be in my 2002 TBX amp and these two pairs sounded exactly the same. The Chinese box is apparently different sounding. More infos about my Brian May rig on www.brianmaysounds.com

Yea but it could also be just placement, cause when i move my amp one meter it sounds completely different then before.

Agrees with furtherm0re ! The recorded tone setting change between the two recordings. You can hear it on the background noise and the guitarist's voice.

Under no circumstance a fair test.

i would have to agree with you that the proper made in england blues sound way better then the current new production chinese blues. i actually bought my ac30cc2 with the warfedale speakers and am taking the webber blue dog route. they sound better then the english blues and you can have them even custom made for $100 less eatch then the celestion brand.

From what I can hear online, Id say that the chinese box sounds more defined with high end clarity.

most interestingly, the tone of the BACKGROUND noise changes during the chinese section of the clip.
