@infrared567 They are the "departure chimes". There is a countdown to departure at every station which is governed by the timetable. If the train is running late then the dwell time at each station will be about 15 to 20 secs, but if the train is early then the countdown will hold the train at the station until its correct departure time. The 3 chimes sound at the end of the countdown.
