Where is the battle music to this area? Its one of the best ones and I can't seem to find it :(

@Westbrom16 No, they weren't true RPGs but they weren't meant to be either, and that's okay by me. If everything was a 'true' RPG, the genre would have grown stale looong ago. Sometimes, I like to be able to sit back, enjoy some beers with a friend and chop some enemies to bits. Other times I like an experience I can sink my teeth into, like Baldur's Gate. Just depends on my mood.

@matternicuss Agree completely, they were some of the best games I've ever played (not that they were amazing games) just because they were so fun to play with a friend cooperatively. They weren't RPGs, though, or at least not proper ones.

@Nhordmyr i disagree, I think the DA games, while nowhere near as awesome as the PC originals, were fun in their own right. And I actually think that the first DA game had plenty of atmosphere, especially from the music. It just lacked memorable characters. They were fun games when played with a friend, but I agree they were lacking as single player experiences.

dark alliance 1+2 were such horrible bad games. typically built for console with not a piece of atmosphere. sad.
but icewind dale, icewind dale was a masterpiece in my eyes! same goes for part two and Baldurs Gate.

@velmarg Really? I had no idea that they used the music from Icewind Dale in Dark Alliance 1 and 2. :O

I usually don't side with consoles but you have to admit they did a good job on DA 1 & 2. Though DA 1 was much shorter, the game flowed so much better between areas than DA 2.
They were good counterparts to the PC series.

Dark Alliance and Dark Alliance 2 both borrowed a lot of music from Icewind Dale. The developers probably figured most of the people playing the game were console gamers who were maybe only vaguely aware of Baldur's Gate, and had probably never heard of Icewind Dale.
