It's amazing, amazing how denigrated our society has become. We only have one candidate who wants to STOP these endless wars that keep cropping up.
ONE! Everyone else is following in the footsteps of Bush and Obama, the tyrants of our modern age.
It's truly insane. And watch, any candidates the Democrats put forward will simply further the Obama agenda. They are all complete LIARS. OBAMA IS A LIAR.
Ron PAUL is OUR ONLY HOPE.
THIS IS THE CHOICE OF OUR GENERATION. I ONCE THOUGHT OBAMA WAS.

Less class warfare - 2012 presidential candidate, Ron Paul, says he doesn't believe cutting entitlements to the poor is the way to balance the budget. He has GREATER ideas. Check him out!

@doogleandalix - my point isn't logistics. My point is it's easy to say "bring all the troops home" or "reduce the size of government" - but the devil's in the details. Our military is not structured for "defense only" so to do what he wants would require a major overhaul and would cost a bundle - unless he's lying and really does intend to gut the military. He says things that sound good but don't "add up" in the real world - that's my point.

@redlegagent I don't pretend to know much about the logistics of it all , but don;t you agree that we should get out of the Middle East ? I know men over there and they have no idea why they are there . They will jsut keep finding puppet dictators for us to search for , for years, so they can justify is being there .
-
@doogleandalix - I take it you've never heard of the BRAC commission. Back in the mid 1990's, they shut down lots of "excess" military infastructure. Where are you going to put all the troops? Jam them into existing bases like so many sardines? You'll either have to expand bases - or lay troops off. What about the Navy - it's designed for "blue water" operations - not coastal defense - mothball it and build a new one?? It's easy to say "bring all the troops home" but reality is another issue
-
@2stage90 - last time I looked, being in the military was VOLUNTARY. It can be a dangerous job - read the fine print. Over 10 years, we've lost around 1600 people in Afghanistan - in 2010, we lost 32,700 just in car crashes - should we ban cars?? All money is "phony" - it's the BELIEF that it's worth something and the ability to spend it that makes it valuable. Would gold make it more valuable? Gold is an ore that someone decided was worth something - could have just as easily been copper.
-
Or we can keep the troops over their getting shot at like target practice and keep paying them with phony money. I wonder if you had a son if you would say the same thing when a flag is over his casket in his HS gymnasium because he had a "real job"
-
@redlegagent Wrong - they would not be laid off .The could secure our own borders and many are not career military and are sick of spending endless tours in the Middle East in the unwinnable decade long ( or more ) war. He's not an isolationist - he believes in free trade and mindign our own business unless we are threatened -sounds right to me . He's a non-interventionalist .
Buy lots of pencils and apples because that's what you'll be selling on the side of the road when kooks like ron paul tear "the system" down. lol!! He wants to "end the wars and militarism" What that means is he wants to bring our troops home - and then lay them off as he guts the defense establishment. Then he "hopes" we can just play "nice" with the world and trade with them and hopes the oceans keep our enemies at bay. Pure pacifistic - isolationist fantasy.

@redlegagent Though it might surprise you, there really isn't a country with a threatening capability of invading us. China doesn't have the logistical capability so do you really believe Iran does? I've been active duty for over 17 years, and I'm fairly well-versed in what our capabilities are. We could defend our country from invasion easier and cheaper than folks would ever imagine. BTW, I would suggest looking up the word non-intervention. Ron Paul is a non-interventionist, not isolationist.
