My 11 month old boxer just had this surgery, and its been 11 days post op and still he will not walk on it. When he first left the vet he would put some weight on it, but after about 2 days that stopped all together. What is the normal time frame for the dog to begin using the surgically repaired leg? Thanks.

DA you have to walk right after surgery or the joints will get stiff. I know I am currently still healing from a tibia and fibula break. Just like humans, dogs have to walk right after surgery. SO before you flap the gums, read up on surgery stuff like this.

Why would u make ur dog walk after this surgery. U should've just carried him. Would u like it if I made u walk down the stairs after leg surgery!?!? Ya I don't think so.
