NOT HATE---Jus' fact * YOU Can't change a whore into a housewife! ALL these women constantly using makeup, straightening curly hair or curling straight hair, false fingernails, wigs,weaves,tracks, contact lenses in all colors, corsettes,push up bras---ALL talk about how they want a "REAL" man...

@rastadudeseven just for the record....what this piece is discussing is in many ways a different topic than what you mention, however, the bottom line of it all is that Christ changes people. For those who believe in Christ that He is God and powerful enough to rescue us from the depths of our sin and reconcile us to God, we believe that the things we have done do not define us and that we can in fact be given new life.

@rastadudeseven I can feel you on just wanting women to accept who they are & be real but I would argue that we live in a society that doesn't make that easy or even possible in many respects.B/C our culture is oppressive in that opinions are forced on us and we should be a certain way if we want to be accepted and the majority's opinion matters, any woman seeking to find herself is looking to those standards that surround her and unfortunately her sexuality is 1 that America heavily relies on.

this piece was written to counter the view that many women have about themselves concerning their worth & acceptance being in their sexuality & in the pleasure they can provide some1 else thinking they are receiving it & it actually is a burden & bondage. temporary pleasure is in fact temporary. We're all looking for something to define us & everyone else wants to define that for us. I would plead w/ppl to only encourage one another w/ who GOD has made them to be not who others want them to be

@Mzchocolaterose We learn through observation and people before us used those things so naturally some of us will. A natural girl isn't anymore real or beautiful than a girl who has gotten relaxers and vice versa. Appearance doesn't make us. If it is true that what matters is what's on the inside then what we look like doesn't matter. Sometimes it is just self expression. I challenge you to open your mind

@rastadudeseven These are learned behaviors. See we were taught to use flat irons and relaxers and tracks. We are not giving up on ourselves we still love ourselves yes some of us feel that we are ugly and we try to cover ourselves and hide but that isn't why we all do it. Relaxers were created in the early 1900s way before any of our great grandparents were born. Those things you named are accessories and they don't make us "real" or "fake" they are examples of what makes us human.
