Animation made in blender of a colt 1911. All of the parts are modeled to blueprint specifications

It took about 100 hours to model all of the pieces and about 10 to get the animation done. rendering was a multipass process, using yafray for a high quality GI render, then using blender for a post process DOF blur total rendering time was around 500 hours on a core 2 quad

Guns aren't magic. They are made of parts that fit together.

I followed the same exact instructions on how to build my CW M1911 and it turned into a pillow... ._.

Nice animation, i have a crossman plastic bb gun that is 90% similar. What program did you use to animate this?

That's the firing pin block, it prevents the firing pin from hitting the primer if the pistol is dropped on the muzzle. It moves out of the way only if the trigger is pulled back far enough.

A 35 ounce hammer has no moving parts and can do the same thing. It is a personal defense weapon and nothing more. If you want a device to kill with, an ice pick is lighter, cheaper, and more silent.

It is a lot less expensive and time consuming to make a Molotov Cocktail.
