  • @atomitron no one ... and its not howr world.. its your world too.

  • Haphazard suffering preferred, I guess (and agreeing somewhat with the/part of the UN on something is automatically bad, it seems). Now, being a an idiot, although well-meaning, I suppose I should bother you no more.

  • The UN decides it fool! (earthwatch [dot] unep [dot] net) What would be the difference between your crappy Fresco computer and the UN? You only see problems as they exist under a tyranny, not as they would exist in a FREE society. The venus project is attractive to well meaning idiots who have no grasp on history or how this world really works. Desperate and lazy people cling to ideas that seem too good to be true, just so they won't have to face the problems themselves.

  • "Your world would be a prison. You would decide who lives and who dies under the "carrying capacity of the earth" who would decide this?"

Who decides it now? Is it better for no decision to be made, and allow for haphazard suffering?

  • Your world would be a prison. You would decide who lives and who dies under the "carrying capacity of the earth" who would decide this? Your skynet super computer?! Notice that the UNITED NATIONS uses this exact term, (carrying capacity) and have been using it far longer than this washed up commie Fresco. Wake up. Your utopian views are dangerous and nieve! Jumping from the frying pan right into the fire!

  • But never mind, we do not have to bother about our future, because evolution has always found a way for life. If you look at wars, starving, climatic catastrophes, epidemics and so on as a biological regulating mechanism, so evolution has already begun determinating the fate of mankind more effieciently than Homo Sapiens Sapiens could ever do! Let us wait another three or fourhundred years without taking any action, so our descendants will shurely know our errors. As long as there is mankind!

  • The ones who came into power to solve those problems are not willing to do so, they never have done so and they will not solve anything in the future. Why should they? All systems in their sense are running well and gaining money. Nothing will change. On the contrary they will go to war for oil and gas and then for water!

  • Great thoughts, absolutely logical in itself, understandable and compulsively. Nevertheless it is more than frustrating! Since the Club of Rome was formed in 1968 we do know exactly and in principle on these facts and circumstances. What has happened to give us new perspectives in thinking and new routes in action since then? Not very much more than nothing. We are facing the same questions like forty years ago.
