Kailash Eco Village in Portland

Named after "The Abode of Shiba" this is a sustainable community apartment complex with on site community garden plots, shared and personal ones, as well as covered bike parking out back and in the area replacing some car parking spaces. There is on site composting and they are beginning a rain catchment system utilizing roof water and the plan is to hold the ester in the prior swimming pool to use in the less front months on the crops. The red roof home is passive solar. The site Aldo includes a shared space for community potlucks and gatherings, complete with s kitchen. I have no ownership or am not in anyway connected to the complex, this was just s visit where someone volunteered to show me around
