125th Anniversary of the Maldon Line - Part 1

On the 13th of June 2009, VGR along with Steamrail and 707 Ops ran special trains commemorating the 125th anniversary of the Maldon Line. R761 double headed a special from Melbourne with R707, and VGR ran a special to Maldon with J515 and J549. The day was a great success and the parallel departure from Castlemaine at the end of the day was awesome!!!

Apologies about the dodgy filming at times, the video editing software I was using was playing up so I couldn't cut all the dodgy bits out.

Really enjoyed that footage as it brought back memories from a time past. Good to see some high speed running as well.Looked a little cool and cloudy but created a greater atmosphere in some respects.

Must fly over and to a Steamrail excursion one day soon.
