  • Ok, the Plain Text part of Create Link is cool.. the other stuff is good but not super critical. My #1 plug-in is AdBlock Plus. I don't know how you could rate anything higher as essential. I freaking hate ADs... they just ruin productivity and load times. I can see from a business end though people like ads... sorry, I'll only like MY ads on MY webpage for OTHER people, but be blocking all of the rest for ME ;-)

  • @MonkeyFCoconut I generally don't feel the need to block ads. On the sites I go to, they're generally not that obtrusive to me. The two exceptions are video pre-roll ads and those ads that cover the screen that you have to click past to view an article. I don't see those often and I usually don't make it a habit to go to the sites that use those.

  • Reddit Enhancement Suite.

  • @TheGhettoable I've been using Reddit more and more every day. I should probably check this one out.

  • I would say Read it Later is my must have extension.

  • @dek5704 Oh, I definitely need to use something like "Read it Later." I tried Instapaper for a while, but couldn't stick with it.

  • AdBlock Plus :)

  • @DimmeDriver In case you're implying this video is an ad, I'll make it clear: this video is not an ad. I'm demoing software that I use daily and frequently recommend to others. I did not receive compensation and the software highlighted is free and open source anyway.

  • adblock plus, flashblock (everybody knows flash is crap), googleMail checker (shows a gmail icon with the amount of incomming msgs) and page monitor to keep track of sites without RSS feed or twitter!

@mrichardson23 is there a chance that you will post some basic electronics videos like collin on the make channel? or do you recommend a site to get started with adruino, electronics and stuff like that? cheers from Austria/ Europe

  • I enjoy using SwitchySharp which is an updated version of ProxySwitchy. It's very handy with rewrite rules allowing you to pass certain URL matches to a proxy to handle response/request data and of course regular proxy use.

  • "Screen Capture (by Google)" for chrome. You can make screengrabs of a webpage and annotate it. Then save, or copy to clipboard. Its good for saying to your dad "Click THIS button".

  • fast dial, its a homepage addon that displays in thumbnails the sites you want, with different themes colors and so on, i cant make it without it cause i am registered to many forums and sites so when i wanna open them all i just click the mouse whell to the thumbnails i want

  • feedly. It aggregates all the sites I visit frequently into a newspaper style front page and has a "feeds unread" readout like it were email. I save a lot of time because I no longer have to check for new posts on each page. It can track RSS aswell as track pages without RSS.

  • I wish face niff was still an extension for fire fix

  • ook

  • I use adblock plus, tamper data, and greasemonkey (get script 119840 to save you from youtube spam videos).
