Tribute toDavid Jefferies, the much loved and well respected holder of the Isle of Man TT outright lap record, tragically died on May 29th, 2003, when he crashed at Crosby on the TT circuit during practice. The true cause of the accident will never be known and whether it could have been prevented or not will be always open for debate. But it is beyond doubt that DJ died doing what he enjoyed most, racing around the TT circuit at a level which is unlikely to be surpassed

One of my favourite road racers of all time...if anyone was to beat Joey Dunlops record of wins around the TT it was this man...R.I.P. DJ

This is the game we play as riders, we know there is an inherent risk in what we do, the IoM TT is a race for the best of the best, but they still ride with the knowledge that one day, your number comes up, I think i can speak on behalf of all riders when I say we hope it happens in a nice soft place, but we all know that depends on the circumstances at the time. Anyway, RIP DJ, an incredible man, an incredible rider.

Rossi has track skill. Not Balls. I would give him 1/2 a lap at TT before he came off!

It takes skill on a track and on the road's but the biggest difference between Rossi,Biaggi or Dj,Britton isnt the size of the balls but its in Personality and Character, tdays stars in Motogp are Media controlled, Rossi tries but it isnt spontanic its planned and with aproval....... on the road scene there is a different atmosphere unique....Motogp Is Racing at the Higest level, Roadracing is a way of life...... my own modest opinion, Rip Dj n my fav Britton!
