@rolfyboy8 I don't know about other programs, but in flash you can use it so you don't have to animate each frame of a certain animation. For example, you can have a ball on one side of the screen then skip 20 frames ahead and move it to the other side of the screen. It'll fill the frames inbetween for you and when you watch the animation it'll show the ball moving across the screen.
Bah, I'm bad at explanations. I'm no animation genius, but I know a little. :P
