Penis Envy

Shame on a group of women talk show hosts for laughing at the assault on another human being. Perhaps if the case was revieced and men laughed at a woman's sexual assault? Would these same women not be up in arms yelling in out rage from the tallest mountain, you bet they would. Unless it is latter shown that the man in this case was molesting the children in this family it is wrong for his wife or anyone else to cut him let alone his penis off.

To be absolutely fair, you could hear a pin drop when the issue was read out and there were gasps of shock. I think what happened was a nervous reaction like my brother cracking jokes when I injured myself in the kitchen. Now, Sharon did override the more compassionate comments, and the more moderate ones took on a more bitter tone because of that. It's surprising how some attitudes have changed. At the time of Loraina Bobbit nearly everyone thought it was fine and the woman appeared on chat shows where it was treated as universally funny. This recent situation seems to have finally struck a chord for equality.

Now if only we can bring to light the domestic violence issue, where as many men as women suffer from it but get arrested more often and are provided less support.

@imr22 I thought the Loraina Bobbit thing was wrong then and now, but you are right people did think it was a funny issue. I remember watching her on the stand and even as a kid I know she was not being honest, but I have a gift for lie detection my ex boyfriends hated that. Funny how men have had punishments for rape and needless violence against women (Which is pretty much everything short of self-defense.) since the first recorded laws, and yet so many women and some men just ignore it.

A group of men on a male talk show with a mostly male audience laughing their ass off about a woman's sex organs being removed by her husband because she wanted a divorce. What if he cauterized her vagina by getting a metal rod very hot and shoving it up there till it was all extremely burnt. And the guys of the talk show were laughing their asses off talking about burnt pussy and making jokes.
