The Devil & I Movie Trailer

The Devil and I tells the story of Lisa Matthews (played by Latoya Jones) and her relationship with her abusive mother Gloria (played by Jacy Jones). As most children do, Lisa loved her mother in spite of the abusive way she treated her. Unfortunately, instead of loving her children like any decent mother would do, Gloria loved her boyfriend Ray even more. Because of his lies Lisa is put out on the street with no education no place to go. She then turns to a pimp named Jezus (played by Rodney Cox) for support and he immediately puts her to work. After years of more physical and mental abuse Lisa finds the strength to break free of Jezus' hold on her and leaves. When Lisa leaves she finds herself back out on the streets again and experiences something worse than she could have ever imagine. Ironically this puts her on a path, in which she has to face her past as well as her future. This is the first feature film by T'Shombi Basemore
