Native American Goshute Tribe Gun Poulin Antiques Auction

This gun was found in an old house. It is a Remington Rolling Block probably a 50 caliber. It is definitely bigger than a 45-70 caliber. It was customized by a Goshute reservation police officer. The Goshute tribe is located on the Nevada/Utah border. I have corresponded with the council president of the reservation and he believes that the item is authentic as there has been a gun found in the past on the reservation that was customized also. The gun is covered in some kind of hide which is inlaid with silver, brass/bronze, with a bead design. It has some kind of hair attached to the stock which appears to be horse hair.
An antique dealer with over 40 years experience believes the gun has the Native American's initials studded into the leather. The initials appear to be L.K. or Q.K. The council president of the reservation thinks these initials are highly significant as one of the largest families on the reservation has the last name of Knight.
I have been told the gun was manufactured before the 1890's.

WARNING: do not do business with Poulin. They issued a highly inaccurate condition report on an item I purchased at one of their auctions. Then they refused to respond to my phone calls and letters. They do not practice good customer service and are highly unprofessional. Basically, they took my money and ran.
