  • Anyone have a DVD copy of this?

  • i have the original 33 minute mtv special transferred to dvd - they showed zero commercials during it, which was nice!

  • I think Billy forgot the ending of "where's the orchestra", at that time cause he used the ending from allentown.

  • Believe it or not, that part of Allentown IS in the original closing to Where's The Orchestra...which closed out The Nylon Curtain. Listen to the original if you get the chance.

  • yeah i have the album too and i don't think it sounds as much like allentown as this. i like this ending better because i can here that its allentown more clearly.

  • it's orchestrated at a slower tempo (the allentown part) on the original song / single / album recording.

  • Thanks for posting. It's really wonderful to see Billy singing one of my favorite songs of his "Where's the orchestra?"

  • "Good Luck...kick ass"; best master class ever!

  • a fascinating character ... many of his songs have such a remarkable depth and yet he comes across as very accessible, endearingly funny and ordinary ... but i would think you would be mistaken to believe he is anything less than a very complex person.

this was a real treat - thanks for uploading

  • In my opinion, the best vocalist is Billy Joel. Some people might list Elvis Presley, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, etc, though.

  • He hit the wrong chord at 3:40. Tied in well with the "so I was wrong" lyric though. Billy's the best.

  • I know! I couldn't believe he played it. He so rarely plays stuff from the second side of Nylon Curtain these days ... granted, Scandinavian Skies isn't exactly a big crowd-pleaser...

  • Guy ALWAYS sings in key. Thanks for posting these!
