The 350 runs good but there is just something about that old straight 6. Your fords sound GREAT. Do you have any videos of them? I agree with what you said about C4C...They should clunk the presidents freakin limo and see how he feels about it..

I hear ya brother...Trucks have lost their true Grit and meaning...I still have the Straight 6 that came out. Actually the owner before me removed it and put the 350 in there... In probably a few months or so, that 350 is going to be coming out and that 6 is going to be put right back in :) I am not sure why the guy pulled it...I checked it for compression and pulled the oil pan and head off and checked everything..Its good..new gaskets will be put in and it will be running.

@scott93257 hell yeah, I hate to see you pulled out the 6 but you can not get a more dependable truck than the older chevy, ford or dodge trucks, the ones made when trucks were for hauling crap, not for taking clients out for business lunches and shit, I have 2 1977 fords both 300 straight 6 with 3 on the tree, and both look and run very well, I get 23 mpg out of my step side and 21 out of my long bed and the long bed still has cold air. cash for clunkers my ass,

people laugh but those old dodge vans are bulletproof.. fron the slant 6 to the 5.2 or the 5.9.. occasionally you have trans problems but the engine is roughly bulletproof

@MeSoHorrrny Hell yeah, I agree with you, I got a 98 ford ranger, people think my car is a pice of shit. I don't because it runs perfect and it never broke down in the three years I owned it. It needs body work, but I will keep it for a long time. I hate those plastic pices of shit, I see them come in my high school's car shop with all kinds of problems. My truck is in perfect shape, I don't even let people drive my truck, I only let my dad drive it because he treats his cars the same way.
