I don't have all the specs on this car yet, but I thought you'd like a look at it. It looks like a nicely restored Boss 429 and it's got one mean aluminum headed 429 under the hood. It doesn't have the shotgun hemi, but it's still plenty mean. In fact, I'm pretty sure this would smoke a stock Boss 429. I hope you find it interesting, thanks for watching!

This was filmed at Fast Lane Classic Cars in St Charles, Missouri. The Background track is Whiskey on the Mississippi by Kevin MacLeod. Available under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported license. Download link:http://music.incompetech.com/royaltyfree2/Whiskey%20on%20the%20Mississippi.mp3

MacLeod's description:

Genre: Blues
Length: 3:15
Instruments: Guitar, Bass, Kit, Organ, EP
Tempo: 90

With a jumping bass and off-beat syncopation, this is straight from Memphis' Beale Street. The Hammond organ and electric guitar play together as longtime friends, while the melody changes hands from guitar to organ to electric piano. 011

  • some crusty car lot in Kentucky had a 70 Boss 429 . kinda beat up but had correct items, scoop decals, front spoiler Grabber Blue, not sure if orig. engine, listed in a Auto Trader mag. a few years ago as a 70 Mustang......Hope someone grabbed it up ,price was $5995.

  • @jeepers2655 That sure would have been an amazing find.

  • This does not appear to be a real Boss 429. First thing is the shock tower do not appear to be modified as needed to fit the Boss 9 engine. There are no controls for the hood scoop or the choke in the interior. The additional oil cooler is not pressent. Boss 9s did not come with lovers or a spoiler, only the Boss 302 did. Also I do believe the hood pins are an addition, and didn't come from the factory.

  • @brapple205 It's definitely not a real Boss 429, they just made it look like one. Thanks for checking it out!

  • I don't think it's a real 429 boss, nobody would put that kind of money into one unless restoring to original. Last I heard there are around 450 left so it would be a money losser to do that to a real one.

  • @earlvilledoug It's definitely not a real one, it just was built to look like one. It is a strong runner though...might even be faster than the real thing. Thanks for checking it out!

  • My Dad had one of those back in the day, He placed the Order in summer of 1968 in the nearest Kentucky Ford Dealer, and he was able to pick it up at the start of the third semester of 1969.

It was a 1969 BOSS 429, serial Number KK12485 , 485th BOSS 429, and it was Ravenblack, black interiour, magnum 500 wheels, louverslats, rear deck spoiler, stock diff, AM radio and it was a ''K'' code engine, with aluminum block and Headers.

  • i would kill for this car...anyone.:p

  • Nice car, but why put the Boss 429 decals on it and paint it a color that isn't a Boss 429 color?

  • @brapple205

True, this car is probably a clone, but the louvers or spoilers were available as an option on the BOSS 429 just as they were on any other Mustang. Still a nice car tho.

  • i can say its not real right off the bat just because blue was not a option for the 69 429 and any shade. 70 had grabber and pastel

  • Car sounds awesome!

  • My dad did a 69 like this but instead of going for the Boss look he went for the Mach 1 with the blacked out 429 scoop. It was motivated by an original 429 Cobra Jet engine and Top Loader though.
