There was kind of a troupe of Indian/British comedians in the UK who seem to have made their careers out of having the accent. I didn't find anything they did funny, and after a few episodes of a sketch show, or stand-up gigs - the accent just got annoying. You can have the accent all you like, it won't make your jokes funny, if they all revolve around the accent.
One of their shows was titled "Goodness Gracious Me", yeah, wow, even the title was a play on a British/Indian stereotype.
Not funny.

russel peter is somewhat funny..ive laughed a lot especialy the jokes on indians and their mannerisms..but this guy is over doing the indian accent thing..it dosent take much to become russel the asshole from russel the comedian!!

Okay It sounds funny to those who have American or British accent but Why it sounds like that?and what advantages it has over other accents? Others ( like American or British) would add letter ''H'' to almost every C, K, P, T in words.
Why Can does not sound like KHAN in Indian accent? Because Indian alphabets have different letter for K" and "KH.
Why Atomic does not sound like ATHOMIC in Indian Accent? because just for a T, Indians have 4 Letters. so they don't add H with T.
