A very windy day at a Light Sport Aircraft (LSA)display, Flabob airport in Riverside California. Great shots of cross wind landings. Check out the Ercoupe! I fat fingered the date on the video, this was shot December 3, 2006

  • Ercoupe crosswind gear makes it easy. Transitioning to another plane could be an accident waiting to happen. Thought that second Bonanza pilot was going down for sure. The 180 pilot was no better and he should know what he is doing. Looks like you and the T-34 won the landing competition! Great video!

  • i would like to buy that ercoupe pilot a beer!! and you as well of course frank!

  • The Ercoupe pilot demonstrated absolutely proper Ercoupe landing technique - exemplary! He rocked it!

  • Love the Ercoupe landing at 5:42!

  • Great video.

It reminds me of my failed attempt at Ione last fall. I got over the numbers and went up on my side. I did an go around and tried again. Same result. I went home. Just tooooo gusty. I went back a month later and it was dead calm. Finally got Ione in my log book. :)

  • Great video of an Ercoupe crosswind landing. I have landed my 1958 coupe in cross winds that kept pipers and cessnas on the ground. Its a blast of a plane to fly, taken it from NJ to Oshkosh. Its also the only plane referenced several times in the book Stick and Rudder. Keeping mine forvever.

  • Better viewed late than never, grat video!! Sure looks like a fun time!!

  • ohhh...the Revival.
