"Save the World Awards" Tribute to Michael Jackson-July, 24th 2009

July, 24th 2009, Zwentendorf, Austria. The untimely and sudden death of Michael Jackson has shocked the world. The WORLD AWARDS Association has lost a supporter and friend who we presented with the 2002 World Arts Award, the music world an inspirational artist. Therefore the WORLD AWARDS Association has decided to give the first SAVE THE WORLD AWARDS on July 24, 2009 at the Nuclear Power Plant Zwentendorf in Austria a special motto: HEAL THE WORLD.

The goals of the SAVE THE WORLD AWARDS are similar to those Michael Jackson has strongly advocated throughout his life: peace, tolerance and saving our fragile Earth.

This memorable evening will not only pay tribute to Michael Jacksons many social and humanitarian engagements, but also to his incredible musical legacy as well. World renowned musician, producer and composer Ray Chew, musical director of the BET Awards and the Apollo Theater, will perform live with his legendary band some of Michaels greatest hits including Heal The World, Black Or White and Man In The Mirror.

The WORLD AWARDS Association will invite Michael Jacksons music colleagues and some of the artists he inspired with his music to join us on stage. A very special evening dedicated to the worlds leading artist who died much too early. Join us for a global tribute to Michael Jackson!

Michael Jackson gave more money to charities than any other entertainer. Michael especially cared about sick and dying children. He visited hospitals, unannounced, to see sick children and make their day happy. People should remember those things. The world lost one of the greatest humanitarians.
