  • You suck! For you, that's the way of configuring a DNS server...right? Well you're clueless

  • hey idiot, your video title is "configuring a dns server.." with your "advanced" networking knowledge tell me just this: do you know what a DNS server is? there is no DNS server on windows xp, cauz xp it's not a server OS, so cannot run DNS services. windows xp it's a DNS client so it will use DNS addresses the ISP provide to you, a DNS server it's in this case the IP you enter in your DNS box. if i ask a windows xp box who's google.com it will not answer, it will ask a DNS server, idiot

  • from your computer, your dns server is obtained on lan (home network) if you use a router then the router obtains the dns server on wan (internet) some times your router will have its own domain name and it will "appear" at first glance as if its on the internet when it is in fact bound to your routers address

  • old ass computer

  • @85rock . Just go into your command prompt and type ipconfig /all. Scroll down and u should see the dns server

  • Uninstall the speed internet thing. Always pay attention when installing so you can undo what you did. Especially if what you install changes configurations in your system files.

Try to restore to last known configuration by pressing f8 repeatedly while your system is starting but before it boots to the operating system. You will see "Last known good configuration," on the menu if you're using XP. Select last known configuration and continue the bootup.

  • One of the reasons you may not be able to get online is because the DNS server converts your name "MegamanAlbert" into an address like 258.81.57.32 for example. If you screwed up communication with DNS, it won't be able to recognize who you are, or what your name that needs to be converted into a number.

  • dude i used speed internet thing and i am on a modem and i have 2 dns dns4 and 6 got wiped out after udeing that shit i cant go to the internet even tho im connected

  • lol its ipconfig/all .... you dont put a space btwn ipconfig and /all. cheers.
