The Vs-840 is a really good workstation. All bass and guitartracks (expect of the
solo electricguitar) are recorded with this machine in our song "Der letzte Schranz"
Also a lot of effects were used in the preproduction. I´m really happy with this
workstation. Bought it in 1999 and sometimes I use this machine also today.
So listen to "Der Letzte Schranz" and you´ll hear 70% of Vs-840

It's fascinating to see how audio kit has progressed over the years, some have been overtaken, others become classic effects that everyone wants.. like the space echo etc.
The one thing I can't understand is why the CD won popularity over the minidisc.
The minidisc is far better. They're all rewritable, they're protected inside a case and smaller. CD's as we know, scratch worse than vinyl !!

@SONGSTICKS Minidisc used lossy compression, throwing out music data to squeeze the disc size down. Like MP3, only of lesser quality because the lossy compression routines were not as well developed at that point. So people rejected it based on perceived lesser audio quality, plus it being a proprietary format.
