Jeff Kuhner, Columnist/Editor of the Washington Times, remarks about Obama's Cap and Trade Bill, which was just passed in the House. Once again they passed a bill, without being given the time to read, the hundreds of pages that were added to it, at the last moment. Jeff Kuhner, was the guest host, on the Michael Savage show.

Although 44 Democrats voted against the bill, it passed 219-212 thanks to 8 turncoat Repubilcans:
Mary Bono Mack (CA), Mike Castle (DE), Mark Kirk (IL) - (who is planning to run for Obama's Senate seat in 2010-good luck looser), Leonard Lance (NJ), Frank LoBiondo (NJ), John
McHugh (NY), Dave Reichert (WA), Chris Smith (NJ).

Two Republicans who didnt vote: Jeff Flake (AZ) and John Sullivan (OK). Flake had a family conflict (his daughter is in a beauty pageant in Alabama) and Sullivan is undergoing alcohol treatment.

Democrat Patrick Kennedy was pulled out of rehab to cast his vote.
44 Democrats did cast a NO vote, and Hastings (FL) did not vote.
The full roll call vote is here:

I am told that these Reps have until Wednesday, to change their vote.

  • the president wants to rely on the country's resources for gas and not to rely on the middle east. USA has big debt from china and middle east is taking so much money from the USA in exchange for gas.. the presidents way restores the US economy

  • @geri123world, Yeah right-Hey, I've got so magic beans you might be interested in.

  • This is going to cause States to secede, its that serious.

Especially states like Texas and Oklahoma, who's economies depend on energy and agriculture.

  • Who did not see this all coming? How sad. This country took God out of the schools and anywhere else they can. We the people have nobody to blame but ourselves for the mess our government has become. It is sad big time and very disheartening. Wake up America, we need to take our country back and get rid of all the socialist, leftist thugs at the helm.

  • @stringlov, That perk was offered to our elected officials, as an incentive to run for office. There were many qualified people, that could serve well as our representatives, but, would never do it, because they would have to take a cut in pay. We ended up with a group of people that, for the most part, are not that bright, could care less about the people they represent, but, keep voting themselves raises, and the foolish sheep, keep re-electing them.

  • @stringlov, That would certainly be nice, but, we a can't afford to pay for it. Our great, great, great, grandchilden are still going to be paying for Obama's parties.

  • I doubt Texas and Oklahoma are going to be the only states to secede. Tennessee (among numerous other) is likely to take advantage of that particular right if something doesn't change.

  • Lets get him out!

  • I DEFINATLY AGREE WITH THIS MAN. MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL. THE DEVIL IS IN CHARGE AT THE WHITE HOUSE.

  • @joskemom It needs to be much earlier than that.
