In the studio they sound amazing, but live...I guess they just don't care about how lazy and sloppy they sound. Sounds like they're all hammered and they don't give a shit. Sad for the fans who paid money to hear this.

@Ranger1649 but the reason you would also want to advertise is so instead having to stop music and get a boring job, you can try to aspire to something greater, and play music for a living. Which i think would be great!

@pageseventyfive If you just wanted to express yourself, you wouldn't need an audience or shows. You wouldn't need to broadcast it to people. If you're truly in it for self expression, keep playing in your garage, and don't advertise. :)

and he sings the whole song in the right "key." otherwise the notes would sound bad. He sings a lot of it higher, and with different notes, but the key is still almost always the same.

And cue a main point to why no one knows of your band. People singing along means they've connected to your art. The main thing an artist aims for. Your thought process is that of a glory hound, someone who would rather hear the sound of his own voice than connect to the people who actually give two shits about his creation.

ovusly you have never played a gig.
stopping singing and havin ( in my case coz im not famous) 100+ people singing the lyrics you wrote to a song you made up is amazing.
people in band LOVE it when the crowd sing along
and also if u know the song when ur at a gig you cant help but sing along
