The Nkuringo Walking Safari traverses the Bwindi Impentrable Forest National Park within the Republic of Uganda. This multi-day trek provides a wonderful opportunity to experince this 36000 year old forest on a professionally guided nature walk. The forest is home to the endagered mountain gorilla where time can be designed into the walking safari itinerary to allow for visitors to also visit these magnificent apes of the forest. Tracking permits to visit mountain gorillas must be obtained from the Uganda Wildlife Authority.
On the walking safari you will have opportunity to interact with villagers in rural hamlets culminating in an incredible dugout canoe trip on the placid Lake Mutanda before arriving in the town of Kisoro under the shadow of the mighty Virunga volcanoes.
