i got a shofar form tallit.com but it is hard to get it to sound the notes right the first time... i heard that using a dremel tool at the mouthpiece and beveling the inside part of the mouthpiece out like a trumpet will get it to sound better - i want to try ths but i have never worked on shofars before... the most ive done was clean mine out... i dont want to break my shofar- but is there any truth to this?

I enjoyed that video very much! Thanks for posting it. The shofar is beautiful. Nice job making and playing it.

Well...I can only speak for myself: a good shofar takes A LOT of work... and they aren't so expensive at all.

Sounds great!
Is it sacrilegious for someone who is not Jewish to buy shofars or celebrate Rosh Hasanah? I'd love to learn more about festivals like this but I don't want to get under anyones feet....

sacrilegious? Anyone can buy a shofar - even though I'd rather not see that happening too much because some people are freaking annoying when they think they have to blow their shofar every minute of the day :-)
But some people are called to blow a shofar, that's a fact.
And by the way: a shofar isn't holy...don't forget that
