[Maximization Comments]
- Taishi Ci produces great results with all weapon wts.
- Light weapon: with Dragon Arms, he is able to abuse the combo of C1 to JC. The executions and recoveries involved are fast enough for abuse in almost any crowd size, for ridiculous Musou filling, and strong Musou offense
- light weapon and Musou20 bonus, he is able to kill officers in 1 Musou
- Medium weapon: C1 to JC combo can't be used anymore. Also C5 is much harder to pull off and becomes an attack that only works when approaching crowds from a distance. Maximization turns to C2, then JC. This method links together Musou filling phase and Musou offense phase - demands some mastery to avoid wasting Musous. It is possible to be consistent with this setup, and the last Taishi Ci video shows this setup.
- Heavy weapon: Abuse JC, and abuse Musou. This variation is no different from medium weapon setup -- relies on forced Musou method of offense, which requires a lot of skill. Difference is faster offensive and musou filling speed, and much better Musou Rage performance.
- JC range unaffected by Wind Scroll
- MINIMUM of Speed20 is required for survival. (running from crowds)
- Equipping Speed Scroll is good recommendation. Increases safety, but increase crowd leading time (want to promote enough clustering of crowds sufficient to fill Musou)
- General approach: minimize Musou length and maximizing Fill. Maximize Charge and Fill to maximize Musou filling potential
- With the setup used in this video (40 Fill and 20 Charge) he requires only 4 peons to fill Musou
- Musou length in this vid is maxed out and represents a non-maximized Taishi Ci. Just like in DW3, he seems to be maximized with shortest Musou possible, because of emphasis on fast filling and Musou ending strikes. For DW5, at this particular maxed out Musou length, seems possible to kill mounted officers in 1 JC + Musou combo, but is obviously not consistent. Best to go with shortest Musou possible, and strict abuse of JC + Musou ending. Minimum Musou bar length may greatly increase his fill requirements - leads to minimal crowd leading (he may be able to fill with just 2 peons, making him extremely efficient) Remains to be tested.
- equip the Ice Orb for x2 Musou damage in Musou Rage (True Musou is juggling)
- nailing Taishi Ci for juggling Musou in Musou Rage seems unreasonable. Against generics and playable officers, 1 Musou is enough to KO. Against Commanders or Buffed Officers, there is enough Musou Rage time to attempt two freezing attempts with the Ice Orb (likely C5). This gives 84% freezing chance. Offense shown at Cao Pi is very typical and very reproducable offense
- for fill requirements, need 4 peons or 4 enemies clustered enough to be encompassed in 1 JC
- 4 peons is a small number, but leading is still required. Recklessly abusing JC can lead to Musou filling failures.
- aim JC to hit officer, and execute Musou, and waste the initial Musou strikes when the officer falls to the ground.
- wasting initial strikes of his Musou doesn't make a difference. His Musou is strong enough to still KO officers in 1 Musou.
- against Mounted Officers, offense is unchanged, but consistency is reduced because of how random the officer landing is.
- VERY important not end his Musou with officer standing beside him. Means you cannot have an officer block his Musou ending, or else it will be tough to escape. Also means Taishi Ci is severely limited vs multiple officers.
- if officer is blocking his Musou, best to create some distance, then end the Musou, and retry.

[Tier List Comments]
- placement remains to be discussed in detail and finalized, but Taishi Ci is obviously High Tier
- important to realize inconsistency due to gameplay imperfections and mounted officer scenarios, despite extremely fast offense
- correction factor of 1.5 is accurate to determine Taishi Ci's effective offensive speed. Meaning, his offense requires on avg, half the time he'll kill a generic in 1 combo, the other half, he'll require 2.
- good performance when archers are present.
- bottom tier crowd clearer with ANY setup
- very fast Musou filling with 1 JC
- can consistently KO generic and playable officers in 1 Musou
- can often KO mounted generals in just 1 JC Musou combo
- nerfed Musou Rage performance, relative to regular performance. Musou Rage combat is still very destructive
- VERY poor vs multiple officers. 2 officers is do-able. More than 2 creates problems. In Mt Q, he would require Way of Musou.

  • shieeet! i knew therez sth like this possible for this guy, aside from multi-off limitation taishi is faster than top tier zhuge. THE most impressive remastery so far ey val

  • @mukamuka123

I had a feeling of this type of comment from you hahahaha

    what's ey val?

yea....his Tier List placement is going to be very interesting....

It's good I show messing up with musou, AND using two JC's before Musou in some cases.

With proper mastery, and plenty of Musou Rages in typical stages, Multi officers shouldnt be too hard of a hit I think. Ignoring Mt Qi setting, This dude is some impressive shit.

  • @DW5chaosmodeguide Diao Chan is near the bottom in this game.

  • @davidchen128

hehe...how close to bottom would you say?

  • I believe that he is top 3 in officer killing. Consider filling, he is definitely faster than ZGL and Lu Bu in normal situations. I always call him short musou man because he fits the best with short musou in DW3 and DW5XL. Sure, he is the worst crowd clearer, but it is not important.

  • I LOVE your videos Dude, i am a big fan of you!

  • @DW7XLNightmareGuide Yeah. You are exactly right. I wasn't happy to see that Taishi Ci's True musou is so weak compare to his regular musou.

  • @davidchen128 well another thing distinguishing them is that taishi ci's musou rage performance is subpar compared to zhuge liangs, but yes taishi ci will become superior to zhuge in regular battle without musou rage combat

  • @calamitus6000 Yeah he is underrated in this game. He should be close to the Top Tier. He beats Top Tier Zhuge Liang in terms of stage completion time ignoring Mt. Qi.

  • Looking at this reminds me Fu Xi's JC. Can he also use this setup with his long musou?

  • @bgirlNOZOMI Yeah not only his musou finisher is Double Penetration, but also his JC and C5. How about the whole moveset is Double Penetration?

  • Imagine Dragon Arms also worked for JC- endless invincible spamming.

  • @mukamuka123 lol He should be at least Tier 2 in terms of officer killing tier list. Or maybe even Tier 1. He can kill generic and playable officers faster than Zhuge Liang. What do you think?

BTW, I feel there is a new maximization for Gan Ning w/ Heavy Weapon. C3 for filling(C6 w/ heavy is too rigid). Last hit has good coverage. W/ Heavy Weapon, he can kill playable officers in one musou w/ o Ice.

  • Now people can not judge that Taishi Ci is a terrible character. People who think Taishi Ci sucks are WRONG.
