Sorry for my poor translation

  • I just have one question, why you must say all those things meanwhile driving the train. I have densha de go and it happens the same. Can someone explaine why they do this?

  • The reason is very simple. It's to avoid human mistakes.

That characteristic action is called Shisa-Kanko ("指差喚呼", which means like "pointing with your finger, confirming with your voice").

Shisa-Kanko action originally started by old Japan National Railway for its safety, but it spread all over Japan and became commonly even among public people.

  • The worlds most kickass train. Which actually looks like a bullet.

Shame the US wont buy the retired Type Zeros.

  • @pscholes18 Right lever is accelerator. operator use moves the lever to a specific speed. Lever can be adjusted in several steps. And deceleration is done automatically by the Automatic Traffic Control. The final stop at the station manually using the lever on the left.

  • Can someone explain how the lever on the right works? Looks like all it does is move back and forth. Does the driver just have to move it until it stops and the train will adjust speed accordingly?

  • What does taht mean exactly 'Between Shin-Osaka and Shin-Kobe, slow down section and notch's limit, there is no both'... I fear that is a rather poor translatrion, do you have any idea of what that means?

  • Great video, thanks for the translation

  • lol, I think the translation is very good and the video is hella tight! more!!!!

  • @ks3298 GREAT video!! Thank you for the translations! I also want to thank you for the explanation of Shisa-Kanko. I was curious about it for quite a while. I'd noticed it in other Japanese videos and wanted to know more about it. I can see how it would have a significant, positive impact on workplace safety. It focuses the workers attention on what they are doing, so they do it safely. Thank you again for the GREAT video!!
