All 50 states in the US have now reported bed bugs. We have an epidemic that is not going away any time soon. Bed bugs are also becoming resistant to several pesticides -- which do not work well, anyway, in reaching throughout a structure to kill bed bugs. According to a study from UC Berkeley, heat is 100% effective in killing bed bugs and their eggs. ThermaPure, which holds the patent on using heat and HEPA filtration (really important!), is now licensed to pest control companies across the US and in Canada. This video explains the ThermaPure process and why it's the best --and greenest -- technology to kill bed bug and their eggs.

  • about how much would this cost?

  • @smither1mina Hi. The cost depends upon the size (square feet) and type of the structure. Figure about $750+. While it is more expensive than pesticides keep this in mind: 1) Pesticides rarely work in a single treatment. 2) With pesticides you often have to replace your mattress and bedding, so build in that cost, too. Go to our Thermapure web site for more info and to find a licensed, trained ThermaPureHeat licensee in your area.

  • Does this work on more type of pests? If a person/home has a termite or flea infestation is this effective? Are you working on this problem as well? A few years ago we got a flea infestation and had to call professionals after we tried "bombing" the home several times. I would have preferred your technique to theirs. Please reply if possible. I live in west central Illinois.

  • @Rueuhy Hi. Yes. ThermaPure holds the patent on the use of heat and filtration technology to kill bed bugs and termites. Plus, understand that every living thing has a thermal death point. That includes insects, mold, bacteria, and more. ThermaPure has actually been prescribed by doctors for asthma patients to pasteurize the air inside a structure. No hype. Just reality.

  • I have heard of mixed results with heat. Also there is not residual effect. What if some of the BB's escape the heat and then come back? Pyrethrins have a long track record of safety and also have a residual.

  • If heat is applied correctly by trained ThermaPure techs (we are the only patented heat process) then the results have been truly outstanding. One of the many problems with pesticides is that pyrethrins are specifically designed not to have much of a residual effect, or else they would be doing more harm to people. The issue is how to get into the cracks & crevices of a structure to kill bed bugs AND their eggs in a single treatment and without having to throw away bedding. The answer is heat.

  • i want to know, about 5 bedrooms and livingroom how much it's cost?

  • @Porticotoffee Yes, I agree with you, no residual and potential to cause damage. A proper application of pesticide on a regular basis along with following other required protocols will eventually kill off all the buggers.

  • @nickthompson44 1)pesticides can and do work in one treatment it justtakes a little more time 2) you dont have to replace mattress or bedding. Product is a good idea and you should promote it but dont lie to people

  • its green!! bollocks do you know how much electricity these things use. they also damage property and warp furnature. a proper treatment takes time, expertise and is very effective. i say if its not broken dont fix it!! also this treatment isnt residual so if you just so happen to miss one then the customer is going to haveto fork out for another expensive treatment and another huge electricity bill

  • i need this i have bed bugs in my bed and i have children i'm scared it will spread so far i've onlly seen one in my bed. whats the price and how do i contact the profetionals.

  • What if you are living in a building and the bedbugs are a systemic problem. You get treated and the guy next door does'nt, and he has bedbugs. The bedbugs head for the hills when the heat is on, then come back when it's safe. I am sure heat can be effective( probably ineffective when used by dolts) , if done properly. But so can pyrethrins and a integrated approach. Synthetic pyrethrins have a decent residual and have a good safety track record. Permethrin is used in scabies/lice treatment.
