The Pioneer carries 2 NXT robots and deploys them before action. It uses a camera to observe and localize the small robots by measuring the deformation of markers. The small robots can be localized with high precision that allows them to perform various tasks and return to their transport platform. In the last phase, however, they use light sensors to track the black line in order to return very precisely to their rest position. In this example the blue marker robot is observed by a red marker robot that in turn is observed by the Pioneer - as a result the Pioneer can control the blue marker robot even though it cannot see it directly, but only through a cam mounted on the red marker robot.
