just dont buy from the gooks man, sad but true

can't you rewrite the controller firmware to read at 3.2 or at least 3 and use it or resell it

Don't buy stuff from China. Anything you buy on eBay from China or Hong Kong is either junk not even worth the postage price or fake.
If you open a dispute then say it is faulty or damaged, not that it is fake otherwise you have to go through that ridiculous 10 days to get an official letter crap.

Everyone wants quality items for nothing so how is that gonna happen? Its either has to be stolen or not as described, this is the mentality of our generation and that is why we have a world recession. Honest business sellers who are selling at the correct price cannot survive because all want it for £10 most are not as meticulous as you and wouldn't notice, honest business cannot compete, go out of business, world recession, Try buying from a UK seller sometimes Thanks for the post

Is there a way to "un hex" them so they work properly as the size they were built for? I know it's probably not worth it but I like doing little side projects.

Buyers need to learn one thing - IF YOU BUY FROM CHINA YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR AND THAT IS A KNOCKOFF!!! That's how they conduct business in China

Hey, at least it was only £10...

Man I feel for ya. I just got scammed on this same thing just 2 days ago. Some people need a severe kick in the ass.

Ebay OWNS wordpress. If they don't like what you say, they ERASE it.
I've also gotten scammed from a fake Paypal site that impersonates Paypal, being prompted first by an email of an item that is worth far more than what it is being sold for. Took me two months to get my bank account sorted after canceling my debit card and having to ultimately close one bank account and open an entirely new one. I should have known that is was fake, but we all get the "oh wow, good deal!" bug from time to time.

@Nightkeepr Was that a 'phishing' email? I get ones through my email for HSBC and banks that I'm not even part of! They always address you as dear 'bank user'.

I'm surprised about paypal, It seems the easiest thing would have been to just send it back and leave the hassle with them, but that option was not available to you :-(

@RobotOnLine I could probably still send it back, but I have a feeling its going to be more trouble than its worth and might even be illegal from my end. Its a disgrace that so many fake items are being allowed freely onto the ebay market without any scrutiny whatsoever.
