I too have hope for the Church but this is not the Catholic view of homosexuality. To be a homosexual is not a sin according to the Church and it is demanded that homosexuals be cared for. Where is the Christian Charity in this video? Where is Christ in this message?

@worldofdraculas That's a question of contention. We all know how merciful God is, but we also know how Just He is. The point I made is that He made His path to salvation known through His Son Jesus, and He spelled out how it works, and how His Church facilitates this. If there is another way to Salvation, this is unknown to us.

@MaxxTheMerciless I wouldn't say it's "unknown" per se. Whatever way anyone obtains salvation, it is ultimately through God's infinite mercy -- Jesus on the cross. Good points all around though, and I'm sure you'd agree that living a virtuous life in the Church makes this life now better as well.

@NavyHornet1 Also, it should be emphasized that simply being Catholic is also no guarantee of salvation. You can call yourself Catholic all the live-long day, but unless you believe in it, practice it daily (yes, daily), base your life on the Catechism and the teachings of Christ, it's not going to get you into Heaven. As Michael repeatedly points out, there are lots of Catholics who aren't as faithful as they should be.
