By pointing out US atrocities in this thread, I simply mean to demonstrate that communism is more or less "evil" than any other system. That's a childish, inadequate way to analyze things. If they were trying to starve the Ukrainians, why was Kazakhstan affected, and then why did they turn around and give grain to the Ukraine?

Millions in Russia throughout history in frequent famines. They died under the Tsar, and they died under the Soviets. At least the Soviets had to deal with a little thing called WWII, that might have slightly interfered with agriculture.

@Tempest6113 Sorry, you need to take a history class--it is well known that Ngo Dinh Diem, with the help of the US, rigged the election in the southern Republic of Vietnam in his favor and proclaimed himself president. He was subsequently supported in power, against the will of the people, by the US.

So no, even the US government AT THE TIME acknowledged that if the US had allowed fair elections to take place, Ho Chi Minh would have easily won. That's why they didn't allow them.
