  • The image on the shroud is MYRRH. Myrrh is a liquid resin that comes from a tree, and it becomes hard, clear, and glossy. The body of Jesus was wrapped in 100lbs of myrrh and aloes. Although this was a 8 X 2 cubit cloth when you add myrrh and aloes that contain cellulose the shroud became light reflective, a coated film strip.

Under microscope the image is made with the formula, C6 H10 O5, (Myrrh) The Aloes on the Shroud contained cellulose and when exposed to light made the image.

  • @FallenAngel0fDoom Exactly what recent analysis are you talking about? Please point us to the where you received this information. You are like all others on youtube that refute the Shroud; You talk out of your ass! Get something thru that peabrain of yours.ALL studies on the Shroud show almost unanimously that it may be authentic Not me saying this, but experts of many fields which have studied the Shroud.Your perception of religion doesn't weight on this conversation that is just your 'opinion'

  • @Flagrum3

ALL resent analysis show that the Shroud is a complete fraud, as expected because, obviously, religion is bullshit. One doesn't need to scientifically test whether or not a fairy-tale is real, one should just go see a psychologist for having such extreme cognitive dissidence instead. Confirmation bias is what you people thrive on. Conversation with people like you is worthless.

  • @FallenAngel0fDoom >Josephus's writings not his own? HogWash, this has been stated by only a few scholars but; MOST ALL EXPERTS IN THE FIELD OF ANCIENT WRITINGS AGREE MOST of JOSEPHUS'S WRITINGS ARE LEGIT'...Let me ask you a question; How many peer-reviewed documents relating to the Shroud have you read? and please point me too any peer-reviewed docs that show ANY points against the Shroud. If you can't find it in yourself to reasearch this properly, then I would tell YOU to STFU...understand!

  • @Flagrum3 Notice, once again, you have nothing but pathetic replies. You're the one wasting your life since, obviously, you haven't done any research whatsoever. You named Josephus. I thing you should start there, and learn how his writing are not his own. Bring it on, if you have it, but if you don't, STFU.

  • @FallenAngel0fDoom I've done plenty of research, obviously you haven't and Sure you have something to lose, your just too blind too see it.Oh and thanks again for coming on here wasting more of your life.

    Cheers

  • @Flagrum3 I think it's you who needs to do the research in the authentication of these ideas you have in your head. I don't need to pretend there's facts where there is none because I have nothing to lose.

  • @FallenAngel0fDoom I'll leave it up to you to search and find these writings as I did, it's not hard if you try! but I'll mention one; Josephus, a 1st century jewish writer within two generations of Christ's death.Scholours/historians find his writings to be authentic...just for one....Two of the gospels were writien within 30 years of Christ's death, fyi.

  • @Flagrum3 Notice you don't mention one of those 70 extra-biblical writings of Jesus in your reply, probably because not a single one can be considered authentic. The New Testament itself is contradictory with anonymous authors written decades to centuries after Christ's supposed existence; furthermore, it seems non-historical from an inquisitive outsider's perspective. Confirmation bias is a waste of time, and obviously, the shroud is a faith based misinterpretation of the facts.

  • @FallenAngel0fDoom Your statement really shows your ignorance of history or for that matter any real knowledge of historical writings.FYI; There are as far as known to date, over 70 writings from writers outside of any gospels mentioning Jesus...Also, I don't see following Christ and anything to do with him, wasting my life...but thanks for wasting your time on here.
