A dull, wet day in 1993 and Preston is looking - good, actually! Loads of loco-hauled passenger trains and freight sufficient for interest. The docks branch was open then, too. Class 37 and 31 feature.
great video mate a bit before my time but good to see a lot of loco hauled trains in preston, when i started at preston the 47's and 87's had just been replaced on cross country and as far as im aware that was the last loco hauled passanger service to enter preston, excuding the charters obviously
Glad you enjoyed it. There are others if you search back that were made at the same time. We had some dreadful weather but it was a good station to be at.
Amazing how time flies! I was first in Preston in 1962 on my way to college. Trains came later, but the Pilling Pig still ran from Garstang station then (I only ever saw it stationary at Pilling)
