Humus Asli in Tel Aviv - חומוס אסלי תל אביב

Humus ASLI is my favorite spot for a good humus in the Tel Aviv area.
Its located in north Tel Aviv on Dizengov st.

My favorite is the "Humus Gargirim" - it's humus with chickpea on top.

There are lots of humus places in Tel Aviv and in Israel. You can discus endlessly on how humus should taste or what is the best humus in Israel - it's an open and very sentimental issue! :)

But one thing is certain, a good humus with fresh pita and some pickles and zhug is one of the best meals there are!

If you want to make humus yourself, soak dry cheek pees in tap water over night. Then rinse and cook in hot water with a bit of salt for at least 2 hours in a pressure pot, or in a regular pot until the cheek pees are soft. Mash cheek pees, add tahini, lemon juice, salt and other seasoning of your choice (cumin, garlic, olive oil on top etc). You can eat it as it is, or cold, after its been frigged.

אבו חסן לא רע. כנל גם מרכז החומוס האסלי שביפו. יש גם חומוס בסדר בעיר העתיקה י"ם. יש מקום לכולם וחוץ מזה על טעם וריח אין להתווכח

there is one, very close to the old central bus station. i cant remember the address . problem with hasan is i think they put wheat flour in the humus. other problem is that sometimes they make it too spicy
