RWANDA: ARREST OF TERRORISTS BACKED BY KAYUMBA NYAMWASA & EMMANUEL HABYARIMANA
A group of six rebels, backed by former Army Chief of Staff (now in exile in South Africa) was arrested recently in Rwanda on their way to commit terrorist attacks.
The terrorist suspects nabbed by the Rwandan Police was led by Colonel Norbert Ndererimana aka Gaheza.
The Colonel says he was in close communication with former Rwandan Generals, Kayumba Nyamwasa now in exile in South Africa and Emmanuel Habyarimana who urged them to travel to Rwanda to conduct terrorist activities.
Both Generals used their partners to send money to this rebel groups from different countries. The money was mainly received by the rebel leader in Kampala, Uganda.
It was in the same city where a high court judge, Patrick Tabaro, played the intermediary role between the rebels and Kayumba Nyamwasa.
According to Colonel Ndererimana, they were to throw grenades in highly populated areas, at fuel storage facilities and fuel transport vehicles, national leaders as well as diplomats.
The Rwandan Police Spokesman, Theos Badege, said security organs in Rwanda, Uganda and DRC are sharing information regarding terrorists' movement.
