A song about the crisis of capitalism. A sure-fire hit from the founder of Rock Against Careerism.

  • great!!!

  • Wonderful!

  • Enjoyed the song Mark, in fact I'm enjoying the whole Meltdown experience. Pim! Pim!

  • Absolutly Great! 5/5^^

  • Yes, I think the album I bought had that song on it, which was the rason I bought it.

  • Yes, I've seen him live a few times and it's very unpredictable, (in that sense, like Captain Beefheart) sometimes brilliant and sometimes awful. "When An Old Cricketer Leaves The Crease" is a great Northern song.

  • I bought an album of his from a used CD store a couple of years ago and it was mostly shite, but I've seen him a few times over the years (in Leeds mostly)and he was excellent - particularly the day of the Hillsborough disaster when he was burning with anger and grief.

  • I liked Roy Harper in the "Stormcock" period, but, as Kevin Coyne once remarked to me, (name dropping but at a humble level) it seemed like Roy Harper had read too much Nietzsche. Incidentally, he now owns all his own recordings and they all seem surprisingly expensive.

  • Actually the vocals reminded me of Roy Harper (coincidentally a Floyd alumnus).
