Ok let us get real here. Yes TCU and Utah are very good football teams. BUT you cant compare stats of a MW team and a SEC team. If Utah gets some breaks they could beat Bama. I beleive Utah is a legit top 10 team and Bama is top 5. I look for the Utes to keep it close but Bama pulls away late. Bama will by far be the most physical team Utah has played.

Fair enough, but according to CBSSportline, Utah, TCU and Alabama played similar schedules, strengthwise, so I think you can compare the stats, to a degree. SOS - Bama 63, Utah 57, TCU 42. I agree it's a close game into the fourth quarter, and will not be the blowout most Bama fans think it will be (Utah isn't Hawaii 2007 as some like to think).

Utah: Michigan, UNLV, Utah State, Air Force, Weber State, Oregon St, Wyoming, CSU, New Mexico, TCU, San Diego St and BYU.

Alabama: Clemson, Tulane, Western Kentucky, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Arkansas State, LSU, MSU and Auburn.

5 teams Bama played went to bowl games, not including Florida which would make 6.

Utah played 3 teams who went to bowl games. And they played weaker non-bowl teams.

How is that similar?

Wrong. 5 teams Utah played went to bowl games (Colorado St, Air Force, BYU, TCU, Oregon St) and three of those team are going to finish ranked in the top 25, meaning Utah beat four teams this year that will finish the season ranked. Alabama beat two teams (Ole Miss, UGA) that will finish ranked.

Look, I don't make up the SOS, take it up with CBSSportsline. Also, for once these debates are backed up by an actual meeting on the field, where Utah clearly proved it is the better team.

I agree, but you might have it backwards, Bama ain't no TCU. You do realize TCU was #1 in the country in rush D and #2 in total D as well as scoring D. They were in the top 10 in virtually every defensive category while rushing and passing for more yards than Bama and scoring more points per game than Bama. You're absolutely right, I'd rather be playing Bama than TCU again.

Utah is one of my favorite non-BCS teams. Even as a Bama fan, I respect them. They beat us and they deserved the win! I apologize for being a fool to think they couldn't be Alabama.

And Utah got passed TCU's #1 rated defense. If TCU was really the better team, then they would have been able to make the plays and stops in the 4th qtr. when it mattered the most.

I was at the game and at Halftime we watched the TCU kicker warming up. He missed field goals closer than those ones and sent a few so wide right that I caught a football

Those 2 FGs the TCU kicker missed were chip shots. He makes one of those and Utah might not have won. So I think it's safe to say that Utah had this game gift wrapped and given to them.

In any case, I think it's pretty clear after today's game who the better team has been these last 3 years.

TCU obviously wasn't the better team you dope. If they were they would have put a stop to Utah's 80 yard drive, made their field goals and surely would have completed at least one pass in their final drive.
