Yemeni Police Demolish House in Aden

June 6, 2009, Hiya Rashida neighborhood of Ashabaat, near masjid al AL bait. Yemeni police demolish house, while it's residents and neighbors protest. This set off a day of clashes between protesters and police.

Personally, I would like to see MORE unity and peace in Yemen. A good start would be for the north to acknowledge the imbalance of power in their favor and to give the south its due, since the south has most of the natural resources but benefits very little from their exploitation. Second, there must be free and fair elections. It might do the country good to have new leadership. We must remember that unity can only come after equality and freedom. At the moment these don't exist in the south

What are you talking about, brother? What's your point? Is it that the Yemeni people should have the opportunity to choose their leaders instead of having leadership imposed on them? If so, I agree with you. I wish the Yemeni people nothing but success in their struggle toward freedom in choosing how to govern themselves. May God give them success.

Ali Abdulla Saleh killed South Yemen,  had us without food or jobs. They would give a Northerner a job without a college degree over a Southerner who finished college!
