Roz Savage is rowing solo across the Pacific Ocean in 3 stages. She completed Stage 1 in 2008, becoming the first woman ever to row solo from California to Hawaii. Stage 2 launched on May 24, 2009, and will take her from Hawaii down into the South Pacific. Stage 3 will take place in 2010, ending in Australia.
