In this video, I burn some flour using a 2L water bottle , straw and a lit candle on a hook. The water bottle's top was cut off and a small hole was made near the bottom, flour was put in the bottom. The straw was put through the hole and the lit candle was lowered into the bottle. I then blew through the straw and the cloud of flour caught fire.

The large surface area of the flour cloud ( millions of little bits of flour as opposed to a lump of flour) makes ignition of the flour fairly easy to accomplish. For more information, see this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dust_explosion
There are other better containers you can do this in, it's just with a clear bottle, you can see the fire better
